Womens Day Poem

Updated: Mar 10

Happy Womens Day

Revisiting a poem I wrote a couple of years ago on this day.

In my years of practice, I have been lucky enough to observe strength in all its forms. Women making crazy sacrifices, enduring pain, living with undying spirit and hope.

Women empower themselves and those around them, donning work outside, balancing home as well.

Being a daughter, sister, mother, wife, in-law, friend, neighbor, student, colleague and being brilliant—all these roles showcase the diverse capabilities of women.

Unsung heroes are the housewives; they are judged for not having a purpose or drive. They endure the most thankless tasks, with no acknowledgment, appraisals, or holidays.
