Al-Anon celebrated their annual meet on 29 th February, at Airoli Dr Nahid Dave was invited as a guest speaker on stress management for the occasion. Al-Anon is an anonymous group for caretakers of Alcoholic patients.It gives them a sense of belonging and teaches them better life management skills. Dr Nahid Dave highlighted the importance of stress management in the caretakers.She explained the red flags of mental health deterioration which are often missed. All the members participated in mindfulness meditation. They were also taught communication patterns that can be used to influence a change in self and others.
The above two books were given to Dr Nahid Dave by the Al-Anon members.
